The LMT MARS-H 13.5" Shovelnose rifle is chambered in 7.62 NATO / .308 Winchester and built on the LMT Modular Weapon System (MWS) platform. The rifle features a monolithic upper receiver machined from a single aluminum forging, providing a continuous top Picatinny rail along with M-LOK attachment points for accessories. The MWS system utilizes a dual cross-bolt barrel retention design that secures the barrel extension and allows compatible barrels to be installed or removed using the receiver’s locking system.
This configuration includes a 13.5-inch piston-driven barrel with a 1:10 twist rate and a two-position adjustable gas block. The rifle is paired with the LMT MARS-H ambidextrous lower receiver, which includes ambidextrous controls for the safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch/release. Additional features include a two-stage trigger, winter trigger guard, QD sling endplate, textured pistol grip, and SOPMOD stock.
